Traditional Shallot
Two types of shallots are produced in Brittany: the long shallot and the half-long. The long one is the most common, regular in shape and coppery colored. Its pink flesh is very flavoured.
The half-long is rounded and rather pink, coppery or red.
The traditional shallot comes from a bulb planted and harvested by hand.
